This Saturday visit the Museum and the Park for free. Oliveira da Serra is offering free visits throughout the day, together with a workshop on the Park’s ancient olive tree - a magnificent example of the Oleaceae species – that Oliveira da Serra offered to Serralves in 2010, and which is already considered to be one of the Park most notable and renowned trees.
You can also see the exhibitions on display at the Museum and Villa and then explore Serralves Park until midnight, illuminated by the installation "There is light in the Park", wandering freely, or if you prefer, as part of a nocturnal guided tour.

10h00-13h00 | Workshop "Discovering the Olive Tree"
Equipped with herbariums, microtomes, magnifying glasses and guides, we’re ready for an adventure through the world of the ancient Olive Tree of Serralves Park. Using magnifying glasses and microscopes, we will observe small curiosities that we normally overlook. Ribs, rings, lichens and drupes – there will be many reasons for amazing outdoor experiences on the botany bench dedicated to this unique species.
Coordination: Mundo Científico, Lda.
Access: continuous operation; free entry and participation, offered by "Oliveira da Serra".
Location: Clareira das Azinheiras
Note: this workshop will be repeated on Sunday, July 19, at the same time as the Family workshop, "Ancestral colours and aromas"
