Synopsis
The core of this study is constituted by "História do Capuchinho Vermelho contada a crianças e nem por isso” (The Story of Little Red Riding Hood told to Children and then some), written by Manuel António Pina and inspired by pastel paintings by the artist Paula Rego (2005). This is a famous tale, drawn from oral traditions, which was written for the first time by the Frenchman C. Perrault (1697). The version that that has served as the basis for countless adaptations of this key narrative of collective literary experience and personal memory, was written in the nineteenth century by the Brothers Grimm (1812).
