THERE'S LIFE IN THE PARK! - AMPHIBIANS AND REPTILES
23 APR 2017
With Angelica Crottini (Researcher of CIBIO-InBio - Research Centre in Biodiversity and Genetic Resources)
Amphibians and reptiles are often studied together. There is even a branch of zoology dedicated to these groups: herpetology. Although both are "cold-blooded", they are completely different animals in terms of their life cycles, adaptations to life on Earth and evolutionary history.
During the talk we will discuss the differences and similarities between these two groups and in the itinerary we will look for different species found in Serralves Park.

WORKSHOP FOR FAMILIES - ABOUT TOADS AND LIZARDS!
10:00 to 13:00
Is the frog a reptile? And do lizards have cold blood? "About frogs and lizards" invites participants to put on a scientist's coat and, by confronting a series of challenges, gain a better understanding of the world of herpetofauna. Using magnifying glasses, gloves, boxes and tweezers, let's discover the amphibians and reptiles living in Serralves Park.
