Tennis Court

A characteristic feature introduced into gardens of the epoch, the Tennis Court and its Supporting Pavilion are structures that reflect the understanding of sport as a source of health and well-being and as a social opportunity.

After the Park opened to the public in 1987, the Supporting Pavilion was converted into a Tea House, enabling visitors to the Park to take a break and well-deserved rest.

Surrounded by leafy vegetation, the zone area is marked by the presence of Chinese and Japanese wisteria that completely cover the Tea House’s pergola and the stairs leading to the Sun Dial Garden, thus making the zone one of the most colourful and aromatic parts of the Park at springtime.
