19 APR 2017 | CLOSURE OF PORTUGAL’S PARTICIPATORY BUDGET
The Prime Minister, Dr. António Costa, attended the closing session of Portugal’s Participatory Budget (OPP), held in Serralves. Since January 2017, the OPP has travelled around the country, from north to south and east and west, looking for ideas from the regions and the country. Around 900 proposals were received, primarily in the area of Culture, from more than 2,000 people. Learn more at http://opp.gov.pt/

23 FEB 2017 | INAUGURATION OF "YO-YO" BY ANA MANSO
Integrated in the Contemporary Projects programme, the "Yo-yo" exhibition, featuring works by Ana Manso, was inaugurated on February 23. The exhibition features recent paintings and two murals executed directly on the walls of the Contemporary Gallery of Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art.

17 FEB 2017 | INAUGURATION OF THE "MICHAEL KREBBER: THE LIVING WEDGE" EXHIBITION IN SWITZERLAND
The exhibition, "Michael Krebber: The Living Wedge", was inaugurated on February 17, in the Kunsthalle Bern in Switzerland, in another international co-production with Serralves. Michael Krebber is currently one of the world’s most influential painters. His work explores themes of exhaustion, repudiation and renewal of painting, that simultaneously affirms and negates the medium.

16 FEB 2017 | INAUGURATION OF THE EXHIBITION "CORPUS" BY HELENA ALMEIDA IN VALENCIA
After being shown in the Serralves Museum in Porto, the Jeu de Paume Museum, in Paris and the WIELS Centre for Contemporary Art, in Brussels, the "Corpus" exhibition, featuring works by Helena Almeida, was inaugurated on 16 February in the IVAM - Institut Valencià d'Art Modern. Albert Girona, Regional Secretary of Culture attended the event. The exhibition is Serralves' first international co-production in 2017.
