ESQUILO presents: KEITH ROWE & KJELL BJORGEENGEN
06 APR 2007

A Project that aims to question the role of radio in contemporary artistic creation, through music and images. A sublime, real-time interaction, between new forms of improvisation overseen by Rowe and the manipulation of video flicker, induced by the music by means of Bjorgeengen’s processing.
In the 1960s, Rowe was a founding member of the group AMM, and he represents a key figure in improvised music and new forms of electro-acoustic improvisation, in particular for his unusual use of the guitar. Kjell Bjorgeengen is a Norwegian visual artist who has forged his own idiosyncratic identity since the 1970s and created various exhibitions and installations, working with musicians such as Otomo Yoshihide, Marc Ribot and Evan Parker.
