The finalists and grand winner of the 2018 edition of the NOVO BANCO Revelation Prize have been revealed. This year's Jury - comprised by Anna Gritz, curator at the KW (Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin), Filipa Loureiro and Ricardo Nicolau, curator and deputy to the director of Serralves Museum, and Rita Vitorelli, editor-in-chief of Spyke Art magazine - unanimously chose as finalists of the 2018 NOVO BANCO Revelation Prize - the artists Carlos Arteiro, Ana Linhares, the collective Untitled 2018 and Maria Trabulo, who was declared the grand winner.
On November 22nd a group exhibition will be inaugurated at Serralves Museum, to present the works by the four artists, for which they will receive a production grant to implement the projects they presented to the competition. A monographic publication of the work of the grand winner, Maria Trabulo, will be published on this occasion.
The NOVO BANCO Revelation Prize is an initiative of NOVO BANCO, in partnership with the Serralves Foundation. To date it has already distinguished 41 artists and aims to encourage artistic production and creation by young Portuguese artists, aged up to 30, based on a logic of dissemination, launch and support for all artists who use the medium of photography.

ABOUT THIS INITIATIVE
NOVO BANCO Revelation is an initiative that distinguishes young Portuguese artists in the field of photography.
Launched in 2005, this initiative has distinguished and granted awards to 39 young artists.
By establishing a joint initiative with the Serralves Museum that promotes the emergence of new artists, NOVO BANCO has strengthened its strategy of cultural sponsorship of photography and has simultaneously intervened in the community through innovative forms of promotion of art, in particular in the context of young Portuguese contemporary artists.
