FRANCESCO VEZZOLI

In an exhibition specifically conceived for the Casa de Serralves and included in the program of the museum, Francesco Vezzoli is presenting a new work, "Amalia Betrayed”, about the life of the famous Portuguese singer Amália Rodrigues. The character of the diva is played by the Brazilian actress Sónia Braga, and the story is introduced by Lauren Bacall, who appears in the role of a South American TV presenter. Besides this new production, the exhibition will also include a new sound installation as well as previous works by the artist, providing, for the first time in Portugal, an overall view of his recent work.
