Twentieth-century designers constantly focused on the spatial versatility of our apartments. Today, globalisation and mobility again question the validity of sedentary lifestyle, also stimulating debate on the influence of non-European cultures that inspire a wide range of solutions. This exhibition displays mobility as a key aspect of contemporary architecture and design, an essential feature of modern society. Over 150 objects will be on display, as well as films and images on the theme, divided into categories that demonstrate the basic principles of flexible life, exploring different examples of architecture, furniture and other mobile and multifunctional accessories from a wide range of cultures.
