PAINTING (HERBERT BRANDL, HELMUT DORNER, ADRIAN SHIESSE)

This exhibition presents for the first time in Portugal three acclaimed international artists who are prominent exponents of contemporary painting. Coloured and shiny floor panels (Schiess), enamel blotches and paint slashes on plexiglass (Dorner) and extensive surfaces with images of mountains or simply melting into colour and light (Brandl), show themselves as part of reality, interacting with it and deluding the apparently inescapable alternative between the figurative and the abstract.
