ROBERT GROSVENOR

The exhibition presents 11 very large works from 1970 to 2003 by an artist whom the histories of Minimalism consider a marginal figure even though he participated with spectacular works in the important exhibitions of Minimal Art in the ‘60s. During the following years he has never been forgotten, but he has been rather an "artists’ artist.” Grosvenor is one of the great sculptors of our time still to be discovered. His pieces are highly personal, each being unique and quite different from the other – it is not easy to understand how comes that the works seem strange and familiar at the same time.
