THE TASTE OF CINEMA - MOMENT XIV

There are free books and films. But not all are so... Then there is a cinema that through, on, about and from the book becomes an expression of freedom and an exercise in freedom of expression. In Travessa de Cedofeita, the place of choice for many of Porto’s wall writers, someone left the following message: OLD SUPPORTS NEW LITERATURES. This could be the motto for Moment XIV of the cycle THE TASTE OF CINEMA, which tries to encompass such disparate approaches as the artist’s book in film format, cinematographic adaptation, transmission of knowledge via books as well as the living books of those who do not write. In line with a feature that has been constant in the programming, these are films that pay no heed to age or to frontiers; and that do not fade into silence and darkness.
