The Serralves Foundation will host, on 7 October at 6:30 pm, the presentation of the CEPA Siza Vieira, a special and original CEPA Wine edition created by architect Álvaro Siza Vieira, at the invitation of architect Pedro Geraldes, founder and creative director of CEPA Wine.

There are gestures that mark time and leave a profound legacy. The work of Álvaro Siza Vieira is one of them.

The CEPA Siza Vieira is an original wine bottle holder, designed by the renowned architect Álvaro Siza Vieira and crafted in solid wood, meticulously carved by skilled woodworkers from northern Portugal. The piece reflects both the precision and the poetry of his design — a CEPA Wine tribute to the appreciation of the wine ritual, transforming the act of serving and enjoying wine into a distinct artistic gesture.

The presentation will bring together guests from the fields of art, design, and, naturally, wine. It will feature the distinguished presence of architect Álvaro Siza Vieira, who will share his vision for this creation, alongside architect Pedro Geraldes.

Conceived by architects Pedro Geraldes and Nuno Travasso, with the initial support of the Museu do Douro and the Port Wine Institute (IVDP), CEPA was born as a unique piece, in wood or cork, designed to enhance the experience of serving and enjoying wine, including Port.

Each CEPA offers a new way of presenting and serving wine, connecting the bottle, cork, and wine to the very materials at the origin of its production and preservation. In all CEPA creations, the simplicity of the design and the quality of the materials reflect the history and traditions of winemaking, transforming the ritual of serving into a complete sensory experience.

The event is subject to registration and limited capacity.

This special edition will be available exclusively at the Serralves Shop.
