INTERNATIONAL MUSEUM DAY

On the 18th of May, Serralves celebrates the International Museum Day and Museum Night with lots of free activities between 10am and 8 pm.
In addition to the celebratory activities, the exhibitions Avery Singer, Mounira Al Solh, Zanele Muholi, Coleção Mario Teixeira da Silva and Coleção de Serralves- ‘this is a Shot’ will also be free of charge.

ART WORKSHOP

Education Service Room
The education service room is open to all families who want to experiment with drawing, painting, sculpture, architecture and cinema. The activities are inspired by the Serralves exhibitions and lead participants to cross various artistic disciplines to create unique works!
GUIDED TOUR BY THE YOUTH INITIATIVE CENTRE (ADILO)

Serralves Museum and Porto Museum Reservoir
This visit goes from the Serralves exhibition to the Oporto Museum Reservoir, passing through Pasteleira Park, the Football Stadium and on to the River Douro. A visit made by young people from the Youth Initiative Centre (ADILO) to get to know the neighbourhoods surrounding Serralves through the elements that explore them on a daily basis, inviting them to present their vision of two of the city's museum spaces: the Serralves Museum and the Porto Museum Reservoir.
LEITURA FURIOSA

Serralves Library
Promoted by the Association Cardan, Leitura Furiosa takes place every May in the industrial city of Amiens in France. Presented to Serralves by Luiz Rosas and Eduarda Dionísio, it has also taken place in Lisbon and Beja. It involves people who write, people who draw and people who are angry about reading. Finally, it involves anyone who wants to take part in the party of reading and listening to what has been written.
VISIT TO THE PARK'S SCULPTURES

The Serralves Park brings together a unique collection of sculptures that includes artists such as Dan Graham, Anish Kapoor, Richard Serra and Maria Nordman. On this tour of Serralves Park, we'll follow paths where the figures we meet will become art stories.

Education Service Room
The education room opens up to all families that wish to experiment with drawing, painting, sculpture, architecture and cinema. The activities draw inspiration from the exhibitions at Serralves and lead the participants in matching various artistic skills in order to create unique artworks.

ARTISTS'S BOOK IN HAND

The Serralves Library brings together a collection of Artist's Books unique in Portugal and Europe, representative of the experimental periods of the 1960s and 70s. On this special visit, the artist's books come out of the shelves and archival boxes to be viewed and handled by the public.

Storages
On the year of the inauguration of the new wing exhibiting part of Serralves collection, we open the doors of the storages so that the public can take a peek at parts of the collection that are resting for the next exhibitions. A visit that leads us to the discovery of art and its conservation.

FREQUENCIES: THE SCHOOL AT THE MUSEUM

11 schools took part in the Frequencies project by artist Oscar Murillo. The results of the more than 900 canvases intervened by the students are on display at Serralves, and we invite participants to share the experience that will contribute to the artist's global archive.
