An initiative of the Serralves Foundation and ILCML - Margarida Losa Institute of Comparative Literature of the Faculty of Letters/ Oporto University.
The new site Sophia e as Artes offers texts by Carlos Mendes de Sousa, Joana Providência, Maria Irene Ramalho, Maria Filomena Molder, Nuno Faria, Pedro Eiras and Teresa Andresen from the SOPHIA Cycle AND THE ARTS. Curated by Ana Luísa Amaral, Isabel Pires de Lima and Rosa Maria Martelo, in the context of the CENTENARY OF THE BIRTH OF SOPHIA DE MELLO BREYNER ANDRESEN (November 16 to December 14, 2019-Serralves Auditorium and Almeida Garrett Library), this site also includes musical creations by Amílcar Vasques-Dias and a performance by Angelica Salvi and Marta Vuduvum.
The Sophia e as Artes website, designed by Luís Sousa Teixeira, will integrate the digital resources of the Faculty of Letters of U. Porto and the Serralves Foundation, constituting a tool for research and dissemination of the work of Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen, one of the most relevant names of Portuguese poetry of the twentieth century.
