Projeto SER, the Mental Health, Stigma and Resilience project, is developed by professionals from the fields of health, culture, education and social communication, and provides a space for reflection on mental illness and the stigma surrounding it, promoting dialogue between science, health and society.
In this context, Casa do Cinema Manoel de Oliveira and Serralves Foundation, in partnership with other institutions in the city of Porto, is hosting part of a film cycle dedicated to the theme, with three special sessions. At the opening, on 10 October, which marks the World Mental Health Day, Sidney Lumet's Equus (1977) will be screened.
The programme will be completed with the films A Divina Comédia (1991) by Manoel de Oliveira, and Pára-me de Repente o Pensamento (2014) by Jorge Pelicano.
