On 2 October, at 2.30 pm, the Serralves Foundation will host the public information session “Culture: Investment and Patronage”, organised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport and dedicated to the new Cultural Patronage framework and Residence Permits for Investment in Culture (ARI).

The session will be opened by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Margarida Balseiro Lopes. The programme includes a presentation of the new Cultural Patronage framework, a panel discussion featuring representatives from the Office for Strategy, Planning and Cultural Assessment and the Portuguese Tax and Customs Authority, as well as a session dedicated to the framework and procedures governing ARI. The programme will also include opportunities for questions and answers from the audience.

Marta Luiz, Director-General of the Serralves Foundation, will take part in the panel dedicated to experiences and outcomes of investment in culture, discussing Serralves’ journey and the contribution of private investment and patronage to fulfilling the Foundation’s mission and delivering its projects.

The initiative aims to provide a better understanding of the new instruments and frameworks available, while also encouraging reflection on the role of private investment in the cultural sector.
