On 5 November at 6:30 pm, the Serralves Bookshop will host the launch of ACCORDIA, a new Portuguese publisher dedicated to creating and publishing art books.

ACCORDIA makes its debut with 23 titles, in a collection that brings together leading figures in Portuguese contemporary art, including Graça Morais, Rui Chafes, Pedro Calapez, Jorge Molder, Cristina Ataíde, João Louro, Noé Sendas, Avelino Sá and Mónica de Miranda, among many others.

Several of the artists will be present, and the evening will include a conversation between curators Ângela Berlinde, Emília Ferreira, Francisco Laranjo, Miguel von Hafe Pérez and Rodrigo Magalhães on the importance of art book publishing and, in particular, of artists’ books as spaces for creation, thought and experimentation.
