'‘VORACE’ (Italian for voracious) is a solo for a body in its arena, driven by the performer’s lung capacity and an abundance of pom poms, allies in the reverberation of rhythm that builds this body’s voracity.
‘VORACE’ is an arena of dichotomies, a desire for stability that consumes itself simply by being desired. An attempt at emancipation within a body that activates other bodies. An ode to persistence that rises from the roots and comes to be savoured in the mouth.
« In ‘VORACE’, I want to reclaim my body.
A body soaked in classical ballet. Still struggling against the parameters of unattainable perfection. The body of a 30 year old woman, daily bombarded by anti-ageing protocols.
I search for a place that is free, viscerally erotic and democratic. How can I become the body I truly desire to be, beyond the body I am allowed to occupy?
I try to shake (myself).»
