Two of the eccentric characters from Luis Buñuel’s film “Belle de Jour” revisit—thirty-eight years later—the mystery of a secret known only to the male character, the revelation of which is essential to the female character. Their paths cross once more. She tries, at all costs, to avoid him. But he persists and tries to convince her to meet with him, promising to reveal the secret he holds. They arrange a dinner for two at a posh hotel. Throughout the dinner, she—now a widow—waits anxiously for him to reveal what he actually told her husband, who was left paralyzed after being shot by one of his lovers. The atmosphere is tense…
