2003 CONFERÊNCIA OLAFUR ELIASSON E A EMERGÊNCIA CLIMÁTICA | MARK GODFREY

Since the early 1990s, Olafur Eliasson has made works that use natural materials (for instance moss, lava, ice, water) or that represent natural phenomena and landscape features (rainbows, waterfalls). His concern with nature was developed through his extended experience of Iceland. In this talk, I will discuss how these long-held interests have lead him to make works in recent years that address the climate emergency: projects such as Ice watch and the recently updated 'Glacier series'.
