Four
elementary entities, receptacles of cosmic forces, test the limits of the body
in a desire to transfigure matter. They explore the possibilities of
transcendence through magical activation of the performance space, in a
laboratory of ritual initiation into the mysteries of the invisible. Guided by
robotic sound devices and changes in lighting, these entities challenge our
perception of reality. Accompanying the performance, an installation has been
developed that proposes a holographic confrontation with a nkisi nkondi - a
power figure that has supernatural forces. This installation proposal
establishes a phantasmagoric relationship between the spectator and the museum
object, that comes to life and haunts the relations of colonial domination to
which it has been subjected, revealing and restoring its magical capacity.

together musicians, performers, visual artists, researchers and ancestral
spirits, summoning magical thoughts and actions, which subvert
conceptual stereotyped borders and fragment imperialist narratives.
Loa works from Afro-Atlantic cosmogonies proposing post-colonial performative disruptions
that materialize in spaces of creative resistance.
