Now in its 35th edition, Serralves Jazz in the Park is once again a reference event in the context of national music festivals, reinforcing its role in divulging and developing the most relevant proposals in contemporary jazz and improvised music both in Portugal and internationally. At a time when humanity faces multiple challenges all around the planet, it is urgent to revaluate art’s role in the context of our fragile civilizational balance. In spite of its intangible or immeasurable quality, art represents a set of disciplines that are absolutely essential to the evolution and transformation of our world vision. Without it we are unable to see.
