For the opening of 'Fallen Vision', Anri Sala’s first solo exhibition in Portugal, EXAUDI Vocal Ensemble performs 'Surface, Otherwise (after STA XLII)', a new composition created specifically for the exhibition.

Working with composer Jack Sheen, Sala draws on the material and temporal processes of his recent fresco practice to create a vocal score, bringing painting into his longstanding exploration of sound and time.

Presented throughout the exhibition as a sound installation, the work takes on a live, spatialized form in a single performance by EXAUDI at 10:30 p.m. on opening night.
