Kokedama (koke = moss, dama = ball) is an ancient Japanese technique that involves shaping a plant’s root ball by hand and wrapping it in natural moss, allowing the plant to be elegantly displayed either suspended or resting on a surface.

More than a technique, Kokedama embodies the philosophy of Wabi-Sabi: an appreciation of beauty in imperfection and in the natural cycle of life. It offers a contemporary and artistic approach to indoor plants, reinterpreting the traditional concept of the houseplant and bringing the spirit of the wild garden into the home.

The Workshop Experience

Born from the curiosity of our clients and our desire to share this ancestral art, this workshop offers a sensory, creative and therapeutic experience. Rather than simply purchasing a finished piece, participants are invited to get their hands in the soil, disconnect from the routines of everyday life and embrace the creative process.

Note: At the end of the workshop, each participant will take home their own kokedama.
