Presentation of the catalog "Manoel de Oliveira and Portuguese Cinema: 3".

To accompany the third and final exhibition in the series "Manoel de Oliveira and Portuguese Cinema", dedicated to the filmmaker’s personal archive, Casa do Cinema Manoel de Oliveira – Serralves Foundation has published a bilingual catalog featuring a wide selection of previously unpublished documents and original essays on the director's films made during the period covered by the exhibition (1990–2015). This third phase coincides with the definitive period of maturity in Manoel de Oliveira’s work, marked by an intense film production that definitively brought him international acclaim. João Mário Grilo and António Preto, curators of the exhibition and editors of the catalog, will present an overview of this long-term project, reflecting on the catalog as both the culmination of this entire endeavor and a starting point for future explorations on Manoel de Oliveira and Portuguese cinema.
