Inaugural session of the Carte Blanche to Luis Miguel Cintra, film programme that runs along the exhibition Luis Miguel Cintra - Small Theatre of the World. This programme is the result of a challenge Luis Miguel Cintra to select a set of films that have been significant in his career as an actor and director. In this sense, this programme is a cohesive yet heterogeneous set of films that reveal elective affinities, but also bridges between theatre and cinema, in what is also one of the best opportunities to get to know the cinephile Luis Miguel Cintra. Regina Guimarães and Saguenail's "A Vida dos Espelhos" ("The Life of Mirrors", 2025) is the opening film in this film programme.

The Life of Mirrors is one of the sections of the exhibition Luis Miguel Cintra - Small Theatre of the World. A commission by Serralves Foundation to Regina Guimarães and Saguenail, and constructed after an unpublished interview with Luis Miguel Cintra, this film is the result of a long and painstaking exercise of selecting and editing excerpts from films by Manoel de Oliveira in which Cintra participates as an actor. In this way, The Life of Mirrors is a reflective, retrospective essay film, which opens the Carte Blanche, thus establishing a gateway to Luis Miguel Cintra's cinematographic and cinephile career.

Regina Guimarães aka Corbe, Porto, 1957. A par da diária escrita de poemas, desenvolve trabalho nas áreas do Teatro, da Tradução, da Canção, da Educação pela Arte, da Crítica, do Vídeo, do Argumento, da Produção. Foi docente na FLUP, na ESMAE, na ESAD. Foi directora da revista A Grande Ilusão, fundadora e presidente da Associação Os Filhos de Lumière. Programou o ciclo sazonal O Sabor do Cinema no Museu de Serralves. Integrou a equipa do Nove e Meia, cineclube nómada entre outras comunidades de espectadores. É co-fundadora da Casa da Achada-Centro Mário Dionísio. Com Ana Deus, além deoutras aventuras em parceria, criou a banda Três Tristes Tigres. Empreendeu inúmeras experiências em torno da palavra dita e cantada. Tem vindo a realizar uma extensa obra videográfica sob a forma de «Cadernos». Organiza desde 2007 a Leitura Furiosa Porto. Tem orientado oficinas de escrita e de iniciação ao cinema em variados contextos. Em anos recentes a sua actividade como argumentista tem vindo a intensificar-se. Aspira a estar onde haja uma luta justa a travar. Vive e trabalha com Saguenail desde 1975. Hélastre é o signo da sua obra comum, visitável online, em helastre.wordpress.com.
