The Serralves Library hosts the fifth session of the Story Time, featuring a magical journey through the book "Aurora", published by Alfarroba and presented by the author, Kátia Santos.

Organised by the Serralves Bookshop, this special session invites children and families to dive into the enchanting world of books, in a gathering that will take place at the Serralves Library.

This marks the fifth session of a series of monthly gatherings that invite children and families to immerse themselves in the world of books. Each session becomes an engaging experience where stories, whether read or told, come to life through imagination.

In the heart of the vast African plains lives Aurora, the youngest member of an elephant herd.

She is unlike any other of her kind — her ears are extraordinarily large and colorful, resembling a dazzling display of dancing lights in the night sky.

But one day, everything changes. A massive fire sweeps through the savannah, and with it come ruthless hunters, separating Aurora from her family and her home.

With her last breath, Aurora wishes to return.

Will she make it?

"Aurora" is a moving story about loss, exploitation, the relentless search for a true home, and the vibrant colors of freedom.

📌 Sign up now! Admission is free but subject to venue capacity. Each registration in the form corresponds to a single participant.

Throughout 2025, once a month, children and families are invited to attend Story Time, always on Saturdays at 4:00 PM. More than just listening to a story, it is an interactive moment where words gain voice and movement. Each session takes young readers and their families on new journeys, sparking creativity and fostering a love for reading.
