Saguenail, Mudas Mudanças (Deaf Changes), 1980, 80 min. Álvaro Lapa wrote the script for Mudas Mudanças - a film that took the pulse of the Portuguese revolution. During a walk during one afternoon and evening in the city of Porto, the film focuses on the unconventional behaviour and discourse of a man, as he meets characters and scenes taken from folk tales. Confronting the question "what should we do, when everything becomes possible?" the film focuses on how he attains a new consciousness of the world - in an allegory to the events that occurred in Portugal between 1974 and 1976.
