O MAL-AMADO

João, a 25-year old man, quits his studies shortly before joining the army. His father, Soares - a zelous public official, full of influences and friendships - finds him a transition job. Working with a staff of women, João's boss, Inês, treats him according to a frustrated passion she feels toward her brother who died in the Colonial War. In the meanwhile João starts dating Leonor, a colleague of theirs. By a mere chance of jealousy, Inês will end up shooting him with a pistol (José de Matos-Cruz, O Cais do Olhar).
